Phase One Construction Begins!

Thank you to everyone who helped clear out the downstairs and mobilize our classrooms to University Heights for our last few weeks of school! Special shout out to Amara Monillas and Jessica Lord for their amazing organizational skills and leadership!

What fun we had envisioning what our new space will be after the rock band performances last month! Alum parent Ed and son Joe Fotheringham (Class of 2012) painted a mural for students to write their hopes and dreams for the fall and teachers had a moment to imagine what this new space will provide. We think the preschoolers probably had the most fun painting with abandon as they said goodbye to their old classroom.

Campaign Update

Our campaign received an incredible boost from the Norcliffe Foundation. We wrote a compelling grant asking for their support. After spending some time on campus with two of the Foundation’s representatives and sharing with them what our school is all about, they awarded $225,000.00 to our campaign! This gift, along with every gift (now totaling $1.652M!), has allowed us to meet an ambitious timeline and most importantly the ability to bring a long held dream to fully inhabit our facility: giving students and teachers the space and resources they need to thrive.

Thank you everyone! And, a very special thank you to alum parents Peter Feichtmeir and Jennifer Belk for their help ushering us through the municipal bond process with the State as well as securing financing with Sound Community Bank!

Thank you for your support!

Our journey is not over! We will continue to fundraise this fall and into next year. In the meantime, we will take some time to celebrate reaching the many milestones we set out to achieve this past year as well as supporting the construction team.

Keep an eye out for a midsummer update. We hope to install a time lapse camera to share our progress with you.

It is not too late to make a gift or pledge and join our growing list of supporters! We hope you do!

As always, if you have questions and/or would like to learn more from Jim and Jeanne, please let us know or visit the campaign website to take a look at the project drawings and peruse the campaign brochure.

From all of us, we wish you a summer full of adventure and some moments of rest too!

With much gratitude,

Jim, Jeanne, and the Campaign Committee
