Phase One Construction Update: July

It is amazing what can happen in a month! Thank you to everyone on the project and construction team for pushing hard to keep us on our tight schedule. Jim and Superintendent Rick took a tour of the site this week to see how things are shaping up! Check out the video here!

It was a super exciting discovery to learn that a large beam under the K-2 side had likely been put in place when the building was used as a car dealership! We were able to save the beam and are having some fun imagining what we could build out of it for our new space!

The crew at work!

Last week the ceilings were sandblasted and preserved to last another 100 years!

Thank you to CAST Architecture and Sellen Construction for sharing in the care and stewardship of our historical building!

We’re Offering Hard Hat Tours!

Jim and Rick are looking forward to touring folks around the project in the coming weeks. If you would like to come for a hard hat tour (adults only at this time), please fill out this interest form and we will reach out to you!

As always, please visit our campaign website for all the information related to the project and the Rise and Shine Campaign.

Thank you for your support!

We are gearing up for the fall! We can’t wait to celebrate the completion of the first phase of our Rise and Shine Campaign!

We would love to hear from you and if you would like to join the effort to launch Phase 2, please let us know!

And, as always… it is never too late to make a gift or pledge and join our growing list of supporters! We hope you do!

From all of us, we hope your summer is going swimmingly!

With much gratitude,

Jeanne, Jim, and the Campaign Committee
